Get to know Vanessa
My name is Vanessa. I’m the owner of zarc.
It's my love of fashion that brought me to this point and the creation of zarc.
I originally started this brand with one of my besties Liv who has now stepped away from the business. We are firm friends to this day.
It all began because of what I felt was missing from the clothing market. Size inclusive fashion. With now sizes 6-24 I want to bring a place to shop for all sizes.
When it comes to styles and shapes, I really take careful consideration to what will work with a variety of figures. I, myself am a curvy gal so I think of what is going to work with my booty a bigger bust something a little shorter but not too short and then I think how this could work for the complete opposite shape and meet somewhere in the middle so it will work for all!
When I’m not working on zarc I am juggling my two little girls who are now both in school as well as still doing a little bit of hair too. I used to own my own hairdressing salon before I had the girls! I have some special clients that doing their hair is like catching up with friends.
Fun fact: I married my first love Demetri at 22. Saying that out loud sounds crazy! Demetri has always been my biggest cheer leader, always encouraging me to follow my dreams. Demetri is of Cypriot background and I’m of Hungarian and Sicilian (that’s what makes me a little crazy he says!) so my girls are very multicultural. We are all about family and friends, surrounding ourselves with people who bring the best out of you!
Being of European descent I think it’s inevitable that I would have a love for food! Hence the curvy gal! I love cooking for my family, traditional and wholesome food as well as cooking healthy and nutritious meals. I love going to the markets and health food stores. I really love knowing what is in the food I’m giving my girls. I also have a great love for all things some might say woo woo. I love finding new crystals, clearing my home with sage and learning what things I can change in my home that is better for the environment!
I love working on zarc so much! I can’t wait to show you what’s coming this year!
